Introducing Miyu

Miyuは日本生まれロサンゼルス育ち。東京にやってきたのは2年前で、当初は知り合いも少なかったが友達は一気に増えたそう。Miyuがこの撮影で代官山を選んだ理由は、代官山・中目黒エリアの雰囲気や空気感が大好きだからだ。道行く人たちもファッショナブル。このエリアというとオシャレで高級感のあるイメージだが、魅力はそれだけではなく、立ち並ぶ全てのお店がディテールに拘って作られていることだと言う。どんなショップに入ってもその店でしかゲットできないオリジナルな商品がある。間接照明を使った温かい雰囲気の演出も素敵。桜並木で有名な目黒川もこのエリアにうまく融合している。Miyuはこのエリアの文化、ディテール、雰囲気が大好きだ。

I’ve been living here for about two years now. When I moved to Tokyo, I really didn’t know that many people, but my friend group has since expanded exponentially. I chose to meet in Daikanyama because I like the ambiance and feel of this neighborhood. I find it to be fancy but also authentic, and there are lots of really fashionable people here. Many places in Daikanyama as well as Nakameguro emphasize attention to detail, which is something that I love. Every little shop I go into . . . you find these little boutique shops that have one-of-a-kind gifts . . . and the indirect lighting inside the shops are really pretty. I think they do such a good job of creating a warm ambience, and that spills out into the whole Daikanyama and Nakameguro area. The river in Nakameguro also gives color to the neighborhood. Actually, this whole area has culture, complexity, and ambience.
