アンジェラ・リーは、アメリカとシンガポールで4度世界チャンピオンに輝いた総合格闘技のトップファイターだ。シンガポールと韓国の血が混じりカナダで生まれ、現在はアメリカを拠点とするアンジェラ。2016年20歳の時にONE世界女子アトム級で優勝し現王者。8月23日に東京で行われた ONE Championshipの記者会見のために初めて来日したアンジェラから、直接お話を聞くことができた。

MoTKY：東京の印象はどうですか？
アンジェラ：東京には初めて来たけど最高の体験ね。また絶対にここに来て色んなところを見てみたいわ！

MoTKY：アンジェラが人生で大切にしていることは何ですか？
アンジェラ：私にとって一番大切なのは家族。あとは情熱。私が大好きなことをやること。恩返しをすること。周りの人のためになること。そして、感謝の気持ちを忘れずに毎日を過ごすこと！

Angela Lee is a 4x MMA World Champion from Singapore and the United States. Born in Canada, she is of Chinese-Singaporean and Korean heritage. In 2016, at 20 years old, she became the youngest person to win a MMA world championship when she took the ONE Women’s Atomweight title. During her first visit to Japan this August, she was among the top-level ONE Championship athletes at a press conference by the organisation’s CEO and co-founder Chatri Sityodtong. After her press conference, Angela kindly shared her thoughts about Tokyo and inspiration with MoTKY. Here’s her kicka*** reply:

MoTKY: What do you think of Tokyo?
Angela: I love Tokyo. This is my first time in Japan, and it’s been an amazing experience so far. I hope to come back again and explore even more!

MoTKY: Can you tell us what inspires you?
Angela: What inspires me is my family. My passion. Doing what I love and loving what I do. Giving back. Helping others. Living life with gratitude!
